1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Playerlane.app platform (“Platform”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), operated from Amstelveen, Netherlands.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
2.1
The platform is exclusively intended for individual football players to build and manage their player profiles.
2.2
Users must be at least 16 years old or have verifiable parental consent if under 16.
2.3
Parents or legal guardians may create and manage accounts on behalf of their children.
2.4
We reserve the right to request age verification at any time.
3. Account Registration and Responsibility
3.1
When you register an account:
You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
You are solely responsible for any activity conducted through your account.
4. Permitted Use and Conduct
4.1
By using the platform, you agree to:
Only upload content related to football or your personal athletic career.
Not upload, share, or display any offensive, violent, explicit, discriminatory, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate content.
4.2
Any violation may lead to immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice. Playerlane.app reserves the right to moderate, remove, or review user-submitted content at its sole discretion.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1
All intellectual property on the platform, including but not limited to logos, design, trademarks, and software, remains the sole property of Playerlane.app or its licensors.
Users retain rights over the content they upload but grant Playerlane.app a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute the content within the platform for promotional, functional, and scouting purposes.
6. Free and Paid Services
6.1
Playerlane.app may initially offer free access to features. However, we reserve the right to introduce subscription plans or paid services at any time.
6.2
Users will be notified of such changes in advance and may choose to upgrade or discontinue use.
6.3
Payment terms, cancellation policies, and feature limitations will be communicated clearly when paid options are introduced.
7. Account Deletion and Termination
7.1
You may delete your account at any time from within the platform. Upon deletion:
Your personal data and uploaded content will be removed within a commercially reasonable period.
We may retain anonymized or aggregated data for analytical or legal reasons.
7.2
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable laws, or our content standards.
8. Third Parties and Data Sharing
8.1
Clubs and scouts may be granted access to player profiles and public data for scouting purposes.
8.2
Your data may also be shared with service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements.
8.3
You acknowledge that certain anonymized or aggregated data may be used for research, marketing, or platform development.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
9.1
Playerlane.app provides the platform “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that use of the platform will result in recruitment, trials, or club interest.
9.2
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for:
Any direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the platform
Loss of content or unauthorized access due to user error
Interactions between users and third-party clubs
10. Modifications to Terms
10.1
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. If changes are material, we will notify you via email or in-platform notification. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
11.1
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
